Liquid Culture Syringes

What is liquid culture?

A liquid culture syringe is a syringe filled with a liquid solution containing mycelium, or the vegetative part of a fungus. The mycelium is grown in a nutrient-rich liquid and can be used to inoculate a substrate such as compost, grain, or sawdust to grow mushrooms.

How to use liquid culture

You can use liquid culture by inoculating a substrate like grains or compost / manure blends.  You can also use it with agar to create colonized plates or create a new batch of liquid culture.

Liquid Culture Product Groups

The liquid culture products are broken up into different groups based on the lab teams that supply those varieties of LC.  We work with different groups that provide different collections of genetics so some items cannot be purchased together in the same order.  For example if you order items from group 1 you cannot add items from group 2 as they will need to be prepared and shipped from a different supplier.   You would have create a separate order for the group 2 items you wanted.   We understand this can be frustrating so your patience and understanding is appreciated.  If you have any questions about this please email info@infinitylc.cc

Spore Prints on Plate or Foil

What are spore prints?

A spore print is a collection of fungal spores obtained by placing a mature mushroom cap with its gills facing down on a surface. Over time, the mushroom releases its spores onto the surface, forming a distinct pattern or color. These prints are used for species identification and studying the reproductive biology of fungi.

How to use a spore print

A spore print can be used to store mushroom genetics and can be used to cultivate mushrooms at a later time.

Spores on a Swab

What are spore swabs?

A spore swab is a sampling technique used to collect spores from fungi. It involves gently rubbing a sterile swab against the surface of a mushroom or fungal structure to collect spores for further analysis or cultivation purposes.

How to use spore swabs

To use a spore swab, gently rub the sterile swab against the surface of a mushroom or fungal structure to collect spores, then transfer the collected spores to a suitable medium for further analysis or cultivation.
